Cafe Jose Lewis Wines Dinner

Celebrated New American restaurant Café Josie will host a special five-course, farm to table wine pairing dinner on Tuesday, June 2 that will showcase wines from Texas’ own Lewis Wines. Located near Johnson City in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, Lewis Wines utilizes low impact methods of sustainable farming and minimal manipulation in the cellar to create its varietals and won a gold medal at the 2015 TEXSOM International Wine Awards (TIWA). The June 2 dinner — a part of Café Josie‘s monthly Wine Me Dine Me dinner series — will see the restaurant’s executive chef Todd Havers create custom courses, pairing the flavors of each dish with popular selections from the winery.

The evening’s menu is as follows:

“well-executed, interesting, beautifully presented, and delicious…relaxed and elegant without pretension.” – AUSTIN CHRONICLE

“You can still find plenty of fish at this West Austin staple that once boasted more of a Caribbean menu, but you can also enjoy items such as balsamic-glazed goat ribs…a seasonal celebration” – AUSTIN AMERICAN-STATESMAN

“One of Clarksville’s oldest restaurants, Josie knows New American food. Classic dishes like crispy Gulf oysters, pepita redfish and high-end steaks have stayed on the menu for years, and with good reason. The spot has also trained and turned out many a well-known Austin chef.” – ZAGAT
