The “Sip & Savor” VIP event will kick off the weekend with a night under the stars Thursday, April 24, at a private lakefront estate. At this event, some of Dallas/Fort Worth’s favorite celebrity chefs (to be announced) will serve up succulent hors d’oeuvres paired with favorite Texas wines. Attendees can vote on their favorite dishes and wines for the People’s Choice Award. The VIP event will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and a ticket to the following two days of Wine Walk is included.

On Friday and Saturday, April 25 and 26, booths will open from noon to 8 p.m. representing 18 Texas wineries, local restaurants and other vendors. Visitors can stroll through the downtown area shopping, sipping and enjoying live music, while the Wine Warehouse at Granbury Square Plaza (201 E. Pearl St.) lightens their loads by storing purchased bottles. The Lake Granbury Art Association will
also host an art show and sale throughout the weekend.

After the booths and vendors close for the weekend, the event will conclude with a “Wine Down” event, 8 p.m. Saturday at Granbury Square Plaza. Wine Walk patrons are invited to bring theirfavorite bottles purchased over the weekend and unwind with live music and good cheer at this free, BYOB event.

Proceeds from the festival benefit Mission Granbury (www.missiongranbury.com) and Preserve Granbury (www.preservegranbury.org), two local nonprofit organizations. The 2013 event raised more than $17,000 for the two groups. More information can be found on the event website, www.granburywinewalk.com.
