AUSTIN, TEXAS (August 25, 2016) – Duchman Family Winery, one of the first wineries to use only Texas grapes, is thrilled to be celebrating their 10-year anniversary in September.
Duchman Family Winery’s undeniable success has largely been a result of the winery’s dedication to remaining 100 percent authentic to Italian varieties by working with some of the best growers in Texas. A love for old world wines and a vision of the possibilities in Texas inspired them to work with viticultural consultant, Bobby Cox, and other local growers to produce grapes that would allow winemaker, Dave Reilly, to experiment with making their signature wines such as Trebbiano, Vermentino, Sangiovese, Dolcetto, Montepulciano and Aglianico.. After establishing viticultural success in the Texas region, Duchman Family Winery chose to continue its dedication to these Italian varietals.
“I can’t believe we’re already celebrating our 10-year anniversary,” said proprietor, Dr. Stan Duchman. “We simply had a passion to bring fine, authentic wine to the central Texas area and it’s amazing how much it has grown. Lisa and I couldn’t be more thrilled and would like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who’s helped us reach this point.”
Since opening, Duchman Family Winery has become one of the most successful and innovative producers in Texas. During their decade long journey, the winery has gained a number of reputable vendors including the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Salt Lick BBQ, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse and many more. Their impressive list of clients has allowed them to become one of the most reputable wineries, earning a great deal of respect all across the state.
