Duchman Family Winery 10yr Anniversary Texas

AUSTIN, TEXAS (August 25, 2016) – Duchman Family Winery, one of the first wineries to use only Texas grapes, is thrilled to be celebrating their 10-year anniversary in September.

Duchman Family Winery’s undeniable success has largely been a result of the winery’s dedication to remaining 100 percent authentic to Italian varieties by working with some of the best growers in Texas. A love for old world wines and a vision of the possibilities in Texas inspired them to work with viticultural consultant, Bobby Cox, and other local growers to produce grapes that would allow winemaker, Dave Reilly, to experiment with making their signature wines such as Trebbiano, Vermentino, Sangiovese, Dolcetto, Montepulciano and Aglianico.. After establishing viticultural success in the Texas region, Duchman Family Winery chose to continue its dedication to these Italian varietals.

“I can’t believe we’re already celebrating our 10-year anniversary,” said proprietor, Dr. Stan Duchman. “We simply had a passion to bring fine, authentic wine to the central Texas area and it’s amazing how much it has grown.  Lisa and I couldn’t be more thrilled and would like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who’s helped us reach this point.”

Since opening, Duchman Family Winery has become one of the most successful and innovative producers in Texas. During their decade long journey, the winery has gained a number of reputable vendors including the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Salt Lick BBQ, Pappas Bros. Steakhouse and many more. Their impressive list of clients has allowed them to become one of the most reputable wineries, earning a great deal of respect all across the state.

The Duchman Family Winery, established in 2006, was founded by Drs. Lisa and Stanley Duchman as they pursued their passion in bringing world-class winemaking to the Texas Hill Country. Led by winemaker Dave Reilly, Duchman Family Winery experiments with unique Italian grape varieties to authentically showcase the Italian regions in which they originated.

As one of the top wine destinations in Texas, the winery continues to source the majority of its fruit from the Texas High Plains AVA, where growers are able to maintain an ideal climate for Italian grapes. Committed to the goal of producing food-friendly fine wines using exclusively Texas-grown fruit, Duchman Family Winery continues to develop innovative winemaking and grape growing techniques to produce wine that stays true to the character of the Texas soil from which they were born.
