Hye Meadow Winery was recently honored by the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin. The boutique winery, located on Hwy 290 between Fredericksburg and Johnson City, was selected to be the prestigious museum’s winery partner.

Hye Meadow Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon are being served at several events in support of the museum’s 1968 exhibit, which explores the tumultuous year’s impact on Texas life and culture.

Hye Meadow Bullock MuseumHye Meadow was invited to help support the exhibit after a visit by museum Deputy Director Victoria Ramirez. “Our general contractor had encouraged Victoria  to visit Hye and try the wine and see his work on the winery,” said Hye Meadow Winery owner Mike Batek. “She came out and fell in love with the wine and the winery.”

Victoria reached out to Mike to see if the winery would be interested in partnering with the Bullock.

“I immediately said yes,” Batek said. “They are such an asset to our state and everyone who visits — it was an easy decision to become a partner.”

1968 will be on exhibit at the Bullock Texas State History Museum until September 1.

Hye Meadow Winery is located at 10257 U.S. Highway 290 West. Visit www.HyeMeadow.com for more information.
