Texas Hill Country Wineries Elect Board Members for 2014

Austin, Tx – Texas Hill Country Wineries, a marketing and events association of 38 member wineries within the Texas Hill Country AVA, voted in a new board for 2014. New and returning board members include:

President – Chris Brundrett, William Chris Vineyards

Vice President – Mike Batek, Hye Meadow Winery

Treasurer – Fredrik Osterberg, Pedernales Cellars

Secretary – Carol Milberger, Kerrville Hills Winery

Member-At-Large – Gill Bledsoe, Pillar Bluff Vineyards

Member-At-Large – Julie Kuhlken, Pedernales Cellars

Member-At-Large – Doug Lewis, Lewis Wines

Texas Hill Country Wineries was established in 1999 by a small group of wineries in the Texas Hill Country 2nd largest AVA in the country with 15,000 square miles from Austin to Rock Springs and San Saba to San Antonio. This month, Texas Hill Country was named as one of the 10 Best Wine Travel Destinations 2014 in the world by Wine Enthusiast. The mission of the Association is to increase visitorship to the member wineries. This goal is achieved with 4 self-guided wine trails each year,regional tastings, the website and the annual printed brochure and map. New events and marketing initiatives are slated for 2014 in a continued effort to reach a bigger audience.
